From that stunning bodice the skirt billows out with lots of fabulous pleating and fullness

It flows down into a column of color into a soft ruffled bottom whose front is shorter then the back

Note the gown is cut on the bias so the measurements are a reflection of that - it will drape into place

The silver colored metal thread used and woven through it really goes it a beautiful glinting sheen and depth to the design

It is priced a bit lower to offset this but this is such a rare and early piece I feel that this is a more then fair price

The technique used to make this has been done for a very very long time and is still done today but not to the same degree and quality of the pieces done in the twenties. You will often see shawls from this period and the occasional dress, but to find a coat, original from the period is almost unheard of! And it is not a coat assembled from a shawl many of the "original" assuit garments
