The study room is part of the former Yubari Municipal Asahi Elementary School in Fukuzumi

Built in November 1952 after fire destroyed its predecessor

with nothing on the far side to explain why it was built

and a canteen alongside the main precision manufacturing factory

The facility operated for 96 years before closing in May 1999

The window belongs to the five storey load bearing brick mill building that Mungo Scott Ltd opened in June 1922, a gravity fed flour mill that ran until 2009.
