Kent Ltd gauges sit mounted on cast iron fittings inside West Ryde Pumping Station: white enamel faces, Roman numerals, and a red indicator hand on the rear dial. Kent manufactured instruments in London and Luton, and these gauges would have monitored the steam plant that ran here continuously from 1921 until full electrification in 1982.
