This is one of my attempts to convey the beauty of that unforgettable moment

and a few remaining columbines and prairie coneflowers add other yellows to the scene

WINTER VISITORS CARD Quantity:set of 8 with envelopes I then added the raceWinter scene featuring eight species of birds that live year round in the boreal forest of interior Alaska where daylight lasts just a few hours each day and winter temperatures often drop below 40 F. The pictured birds visit feeders in the far north and in much of the Rocky Mountain Mountain range: Gray Jay, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Pine Grosbeak, Hoary and Common Redpoll, Black capped Chickadee, Boreal Chickadee.
