A nightmarish hallucinatory vision takes center stage on this page, as the fear gas warps a group of Nazi soldiers into something truly ghoulish. The central splash is a standout for its sheer imaginative horror, with Perkins twisting the uniforms and gas masks of the era into a mass of distorted, monstrous features. His brushwork is exceptionally sharp here, using fine,
