The Alpha Competition large volume air/water intercooler for the M133 engines is a direct replacement for the standard main charge radiator on the Mercedes Benz A45 AMG W176 and CLA 45 AMG C117

The OE location for the airbox is not ideal as it is mounted at the back of the engine bay which inherently gets very warm and so it was crucial in our design to make sure we shielded as much of the hot side as possible

We also had to ensure the inlet air temperature is reduced

These perforations improve braking system cooling and increase resistance to fatigue and friction during the initial braking phases. The sporty look is enhanced by the UV coating.
