that accurately gives a pressure zone reading with a gauge on the backplate which allows you to set your approx altitude to your location it then give you a reading on the front dial as to the pressure rating on every specific day indicating whether the current climate is good for fishing ie when the fish will be more active and when the reading remains constant the fly or bait should be fished deep etc
