During the Civil war period, the women would dab their oil based perfumes on their fabric buttons. Their buttons were given to loved ones as they went off to war as a reminder of them. An 1860's floral perfume button is the focal point on this necklace. Rich brown velvet is peeking through. This button was found on it's original store card
