It has been a pretty active wildfire season in the area

The soft light provided by the clouds helped when I came across this bulb sign sitting on a wooden table in the yard

Using a telephoto lens I was able to zoom in close to the beach and waited from the next wave too come onshore giving three distinct variations of color

I quickly looked for a foreground element to add for this image and found a pair of floatplanes out at the Juneau International Airport to help frame the image on this September evening

Steps to the Ocean Presentation:Print Only During this monthIn November 2009 I headed to La Jolla, California while in town for the holiday. With a storm having moved through the area over night as well as high tide the water was coming up to the steps down to the cove bringing man and nature merging in the scene. Spending some time to capture the scene brought me the above photograph as well as some wet feet from standing on the landing for a couple of shots as well.
