The helmet liner is an imported replacement from SOF in Wales

The cover is superbly made

Brit40 Brit42 - The shell isBrit40 The shell is an original WW2, British manufactured MkII shell with a stainless steel banded edge. The stainless steel chinstrap lugs are the MkIII type and are not marked. The factory stamps under the flare, near one of the chinstrap lugs, are JSS 67 I 1940 (Joseph Sankey & Sons Ltd, Bilston, Eng.). When acquired the shell outer had flaking grey paint; the inner had flaking grey paint under the flare and tan paint in the dome. The shell cleaned
